Oleh Perkowsky (b. 1984 in Kamianets-Podilskyi) is an artist, VJ, graphic designer of the Sorry No Rooms Available residency, and one of the founders of the Open Group, which curated the Ukrainian National Pavilion at the 2019 Venice Biennale. He studied graphics at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing. He is a scholarship holder of Gaude Polonia (2012, curated by Paweł Jarodzki) and the UEAF programme—The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Oleh was one of the twenty nominees for the PinchukArtCentre Prize 2018 with his project Synchronise the Present. He works with video, graphics, painting, and installation. In his practice, Perkowsky experiments with laser printing, themes and paradigms of nature and architectural development, the phenomenology of time, postmodern notions of presence/absence, completed incompletions, as well as poetic, virtual and liminal spaces, he comprehends and rethinks them. Lives and works in Uzhhorod, Lviv and Kamianets-Podilskyi.
