Tiberiy Szilvashi

Tiberiy Silvashi is a Ukrainian abstract artist, a representative of the New Wave, and a laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine in 2022. He was born in 1947 in Mukachevo. In 1966 Tiberiy graduated from Taras Shevchenko State Art School and in 1972 – from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Artist's curator projects were presented at International Art Festival in Kyiv in 1996 and 1998. In 1995 Silvashi received the "Artist of the Year" award in Ukraine and a scholarship from the Munich Municipality. In 2013 Silvashi became an academician at the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.

Silvashi's paintings are in the museums of Munich, Vienna, New Jersey, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Uzhhorod, Kyiv and in the collection of fine arts of Gradobank as well as in private collections in Europe and the USA. Lives and works in Kyiv.
